Traditionally, yoga was taught one - on - one; one teacher teaching one student at a time. Private sessions are a fantastic way to begin a regular yoga practice for the newer student, as well as deepen your practice for the more seasoned practitioner. From beginning to end, I safely guide my students through each asana (posture) thoughtfully instructing the alignment of the pose as well as the synchronization of the body with the breath. I often incorporate other methods of movement therapy including Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls and Thai Massage depending on the student and their specific needs. I have worked with students therapeutically; rehabbing the hip after hip surgery, the knee after a serious injury, and living with Parkinson's disease. I have worked with students who were drawn to the physical aspects of yoga as well as those who have come to the practice for the mental clarity. Some students come to me because they are intimidated of joining a group class and some just can't find the time to get to a group class in their busy schedule. There is no rhyme or reason, one - on - one sessions are for everybody and anybody. Each private session is specifically designed to cater to the needs and desires of each individual student. Together, we work to create a practice that is just right for YOU!
